New Sierra Club Head Marks Escalation in Greens’ War on Economy

Radical ecosocialist group The Sierra Club, announced last week that long-time executive director Carl Pope would be replaced by Michael Brune, the 38-year-old head of the extremist attack group Rainforest Action Network.

With The Sierra Club and other ecosocialist groups moving toward a more overt opposition to capitalism, what experience does Brune bring as head of The Sierra Club? He:

  • Targeted Burger King, causing a 12% drop in revenues and massive job losses among ranchers who were selling the company beef.
  • Targeted Wells Fargo for harassment with a campaign of trespassing and harassment.
  • Attacked Texas utility companies as part of a strategy to shut down power plants, sending utility bills rising.
  • Waged campaign of trespassing and harassment against lumber company Weyerhauser, intended to scare off home sales and kill jobs.

Brune’s M.O. is simple. Hold American companies hostage, using “environmental concerns” as a weapon. It’s surprisingly effective. With revenues — and jobs — dying as Brune’s goons wage war on employers, companies eventually give in to Brune’s demands — which often include sharing company revenues with his Gang Green friends. Through the use of misinformation, trespassing and harassment, Brune has also threatened and bullied Citigroup, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Home Depot, and Boise Cascade into obeying his orders.

With America’s economy in recession, radical ecosocialist groups like the Rainforest Action Network and The Sierra Club see this as a rare opportunity to “pull the plug” on capitalism. Western Tradition Partnership’s members stand ready to defend freedom, property and prosperity as “Gang Green” prepares to drastically escalate their war on America’s economy.
